DIY: More friendship bracelets

This week I made another friendship bracelet. The other one pink&blue that I've been wearing for some time now, the color fade away and now it looks dirty. I wanted a bright one with pink and orange. And because my boyfriend had to study I was sitting beside him and listening I thought why not make a bracelet. And here it is :)
I used 4 different colors. Very light pink, little darker pink, light orange and a little darker orange.

What do you think?

Have a great day my sunshines.
Love,
B

Beauty: Beautiful and healthy nails

I stumbled across this article on Elle Slovenia about how to achieve beautiful nails in just nine easy steps. I think this is a basic thing you must do to have nice nails.

1. Cutting:
If your nails are to long, use nail scissors and cut them to the length you want before using your nail files. Just be careful that the length will be the same on every nail.

2. Filing:
Use a nail file to make the shape right. The best nail file is the crystal file, if you don't have it file your nail in only one direction or you might damage your nail.

3. Smoothing:
If you want your nail polish to last longer you must first smooth your nail with appropriate nail file.

4. Softening cuticle:
If you don't have excess cuticle on your nails, you nails will look better and you will be able to apply nail polish better. First you must soften your skin with cuticle cream.

5. Push back:
After applying cuticle cream use the stick and push back your skin.

6. Protection:
Before you apply nail polish use a nail cream or oil and rub it well into your nails. This will care and protect your nails.

7. Care:
With well cared nails there should be well cared hands. So use a hand cream or oil and rub it well into your hands.

8. Warming:
If your hands are really damaged then you should apply thick layer of cream or oil and put on a glove and leave it over night.

9. Nail polish:
Final step is to put on a nail polish in any color you want.

I hope this helps you to achieve those beautiful and healthy nails.

I'm still deciding which color should I paint my nails today. Blue or Grey?

I wish you all a great weekend and happy Friday!
 (Here it's raining again)

I would wear today: Maxi Hats

Dress H&M/ Hat Juicy Couture from Nordstrom/ Shoes Elle shop.jp/ Necklace DIY

So here is Friday and I'm free as a bird :D I'm so ready to go to the beach or just in the pool. We have some plans for tomorrow so I hope the weather won't ruin it.

Now to the outfit: I would wear today or tomorrow this maxi dress and maxi hat. I love hats at the moment so this one would go perfect with any dress. I would paired it with sandals in the color of the hat and with just simple and neutral jewelery. I really like bright colors with white and brown to go with them in the summer.

So what do you think?

Do you have any plans for the weekend, I would love to hear them.
Wish you all a great and sunny weekend and don't forget about the sun cream ;)

Love,
B

DIY Idea: Seashell bracelets

So I'm still with this seashell thing and I wanted to show you my two bracelets I bought over the years at the sea.
Just for inspiration and idea what can you do with seashells.

I really like the first one. In the pictures you can't really see well but it's so white and shiny. It's really pretty.

The first one would be hard to make because I don't know where would you find shells like this, but the second one is easier to make. You just need a bunch of small shells and make a hole through them and put them on a thread or something similar.

I hope you like them and if you decide to make something with seashells let me know, I would love to see what you made.

B

DIY: Seashell necklace

So my little DIY is here. I made a necklace. My inspiration was a necklace that I saw at H&M and decided why not make it myself.
My mom brought so many shells home from Florida so decided to use one of them.

I love shells, they are so beautiful. So many beautiful colors and shapes. It's amazing what nature can do.

I was planing to make a longer necklace but didn't have time to go to the store to buy some so I had to improvise and only found this short one at home. I also was planing to use a bigger shell but it would look much better with longer necklace so I will have to make that another day.
So here it is just for inspiration for you to make one yourself.

It's so natural and easy and perfect for summer.
It would also look good at the beach with your swim wear.

Just make a hole with a drill machine and your done. :) I was lucky and found this one that already had a hole so I didn't have to do anything. :) But next time I will have to use one, for a bigger one and for a longer necklace.

I would also prefer and thiner and golden necklace but this one was ok. But I still want to make another one. :)

So what do you think?

Have a great start of the week.
Love,
B

Protect your skin

I think we've all been sunburned and our parents always told us we must protect our skin with sun cream before we go out on the sun. But we never listen, forget or just don't care. The looks are more important to us.
But until we are older we can see what did the sun made to our skin. It looks older and wrinkled or worse we can get skin cancer.
We've all heard this before but never really listen. But last month my very close friend lost her father because of skin cancer (melanoma), it spread all over his body and they discovered it too late. And he never really exposed to the sun. It was really sad and hard to listen and to see what the family went through.
But until it happens to someone you know or it's close to you, I think you don't realize how true this really is and that could happen to anyone.

Today I came across this video and really wanted to share and tell you this how important is that you protect your skin.
There are many other ways to get your tan.

Be smart!

Have a great weekend.

B

Just wanted to show you my beautiful little flower I received for my birthday which was in January and it's still alive. So I guess I not that bad with plants after all :)

Have a great weekend and let's hope for good weather. Now I'm off to bake some crepes/pancakes and then to study some more.
